Praise Report and Prayer Request
Thank you to everybody's prayers...I am happy to report that my son is in EXCELLENT health and not taking 1 medication and is currently going attending a technical College and studying welding. The LORD is truely WONDERFUL! All praise and glory goes to our LORD and Saviour! My son is about to turn 18 and has is about to finish his first quarter of welding and they already have a job for him making more than I ever made. Thank You all for any and all prayers~
The Lord has also helped my friend Bob and Danna. Bob had a quadruple bypass and he went back to work and then the doctors told him he had to go back under the knife because he had fluid around his heart. Bob is only in his 50's. I told his wife Danna that I pray that the fluid be removed from around his heart and when he went to get the surgery. The doctors said "it was gone!!!!" My friend for 26 years never really wanted me to speak about my faith too much....but that particular day I felt bold....so I told her that I was going to pray for Bob and "welll, the rest is as they say...history~" No surgery for Bob~ Praise the Lord!
Now, I have a friend named Paul Little and he has lymes disease. My son and I met Paul several years ago and he is a brilliant man, also Paul just became an ordained minister, well....Paul had found out he had lymes disease, but, it took Doctors a long time to figure it out....so while they were trying to figure that out....Paul was getting sicker with the lymes disease. In fact, I think he just had another surgery not that long ago. Here is Paul's story from Paul him self in a email he sent me.
Thank you Cindy for that uplifting story! God is still in the miracle business! We may not understand all that takes place in our time or why some people suffer and others don't, but God has a plan and His will, will be done.
I want to thank you for your prayers and for the prayers of all who are praying for me. Lyme Disease is a horrible thing and it has done some serious damage. But, through this process of being so severely ill, I have seen God's Grace first hand.
I met Callie just before I got sicker than I have ever been. Through the sickness she has been with me every step of the way. She was holding my hand as I was holding my mother's hand as she died. Callie helped me through. After my mother's death, I continued to spiral downward and get sicker and sicker. There is no doubt that without Callie's help, love, and support, I could not have made it. November 20th will make 4 years since she became my wife.
For almost 13 years, we had no name for the disease or condition that was making me progressively weaker and causing more and more health issues. Finally in November 2006, a little old lady walked into my store (Barnes & Noble). I happened to be at the information desk and she was asking about books on Lyme Disease. She started sharing her personal story with me. I mentioned that everything she was saying sounded like what was wrong with me. She told me to get checked and she gave me her home number and left. She was from Connecticut and just happened to "feel the need to come" into my store. This was God in action.
2 weeks later we get the news....yes, it is indeed Lyme Disease. Now for treatment....the doctors in the south are not used to treating Lyme as it was believed that it didn't exist here. Also doctors are not used to treating Late Stage Lyme Disease. So I was treated on the 1970's protocol for Early Lyme Disease. After 6 weeks the treatment stopped and I was told I should be better in a few weeks.....in 4 weeks time I had lost 50% of my cognitive abilities and by 3 months later I could barely walk. I could not work. I could barely feed myself. I could only speak in short sentences and would often lose my train of thought. I was becoming like an Alzheimer's patient. Doctor after doctor told me they diodn't know how to treat me.
We continued to pray about things. My father-in-law who is a doctor finally stepped in and gave me a prescription for a massive 4 grams of amoxicillin a day! This was enough to help me regain my motor skills and to work, although I was still in horrible pain every day. I went back to work. We continued to pray. Then God's Grace came again.
I might a second lady. This one told me what doctor to go see. She still to this day will not tell me how she knew about me! I went to see her doctor and the doctor had me in the hospital the next day!
It has been over a year now since I started seeing the new doctor. I am getting better little by little. I still have horrible pain daily, migraine headaches, weakness, and memory problems.
I am still smiling though. God IS good! He sent me three Angels in my time of need. Callie, and the two ladies who I met at Barnes & Noble.
I am sharing the Gospel with others now. I was called by God to do His work and I believe that is the reason he saved me from dying from Lyme. Most people will die if they have Lyme disease for over 10 years and it goes untreated. I am still here and still doing God's work!
